My sons’ birthday is today. My twins, Zachary and Jeremy are turning 21 (Yes, I know how old that makes me). So, my mother, Zach and Jeremy’s girl friends, and a few cousins came to visit and go out to dinner with us and help us celebrate. We were watching the movie, In Good Company, in the living room and the scene was that the company execs were coming in on Sunday to work. When one exec asked the other why, his reply was, “Sunday…is a fun day…to kick some ass!”
I’m a sucker for a good slogan. They are a fun way to get motivated and are great conversation starters as well. They help people become more productive. Here are some examples.
- Programmer Needs Job. Willing To Do Windows.
- If it’s on your mind, it’s not getting done!
- If it’s on your shirt, it’s not getting done!
- Slacker
- Some multi-task. I multi-slack. (These last two were for my buddy, Bren, over at Slacker Manager)
So lets have some fun! Contest time! Help me come up with a new slogan to put on some of our new Open Loops products. Here are the rules:
- Create an original slogan on the theme of productivity.
- The slogan must be original and not a copy of anything that is already out there, especially copyrighted ones.
- Submit it by putting it in a comment to this post.
- Send Zachary or Jeremy a quick birthday wish in an email (C’mon…it’ll be fun to watch their email inboxes overflow with emails, plus, they will choose two winners). THIS ALSO RECORDS YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS SINCE THAT DOESN'T ALWAYS SHOW UP IN THE COMMENTS!!! MENTION THE SAME NAME IN THE EMAIL THAT IS ATTACHED TO YOUR COMMENT. I'LL USE THIS INFO TO CONTACT THE WINNERS. EMAIL ADDRESSES WILL NOT BE SHARED WITH ANYONE !!!!!! Also, Open Loops does NOT send spam!
- Zachary and Jeremy will choose two winners.
The two winners will have their slogans integrated into a design and printed on select Open Loops merchandise. In exchange for the use of their slogan, the two winners will receive a free product with their slogan on it. The winners will be chosen next Sunday night, May 29, 2005 at 9:00 PM. The winners will be notified on Monday.
Good Luck! Remember, humor is a plus here!

Okay, everyone...
Some of you are leaving the slogans here, but many of you are emailing them directly to my sons. No problem! :)
Which ever way you send them in, they will all be considered!

I actually really liked the tagline here: If it is on your mind, it isn't getting done. I remember the first time I read it and it really hit home for me.
